Importing a Latin urban artist to the Norwegian music market

In this master thesis, I research how Latin urban artists can import their music to the Norwegian market. Seeing how the genre has grown globally, I have been intrigued as to how the genre can grow and develop here in Norway. Also, participating as a DJ in a local Latino club concept has inspired me to pursue the idea of this thesis.Through theory and qualitative methods, I have gathered data, and created a framework based on empirical findings, answering my research question How can one effectively raise the profile and launch a reggaeton musician from Latin America in Norway's music sector?Here I have found though that the most important elements come through strategic planning, with market positioning, culture, and evaluation in mind.
