dc.description.abstractThis dissertation aims to describe the upmixing process of a track from stereo to surround, elucidating the technical and aesthetic choices made in relation to auditory perception. By exploring the creative applications and their technical implications, the thesis aims to find ways to preserve and develop the artistic vision while transferring existing knowledge about stereophonic mixing and utilizing the possibilities of spatial and positional elements as a distinct creative axis.
