Due to increase in population, urbanization increased with the development of new residential areas. To compensate for the overpopulation, scattered residential building development was often used; however, housing density could be a better alternative based to previous studies. The housing density of an area is comparable with the government’s concept of compact urban development, the development of area transport plan (ATP), and municipal area sub-plan (kommuneplan). Previous literature studies have presented the efficiency of land use leading to minimized climate emission, but practical usage have not been practiced in the location of this study. The method used to analyze proximity of important locales were considered as five to ten minutes of walking or cycling distance. Geographic Information System (GIS) was used for division of residential areas. In addition, housing density was calculated with the associated areas as well as the utilization of statistical diagrams for residential areas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the functions of the location and calculate the land use for current residential areas. This study will answer how thecontext is between housing density and the proximity of everyday functions and infrastructure
