dc.description.abstractThe petroleum-based supplier industry is a highly competitive market for companies. This driving force have shifted the organizational focus to a cost-effective manufacturing in delivery of products and services. A case study with mixed-method was conducted to assess the feasibility of potential optimization of the value stream of Oceaneering Rotator's CTV product line. The scope of research encompasses a value stream mapping of the current manufacturing process. This has been used to suggest alternative future state of the value stream. Combination of qualitative study and a physical experiments were conducted to derive valuable information regarding the performance of the newly developed test equipment. The tests were performed maintaining organizational standards and procedures to ensure the validity. Results showed a significant potential of capacity improvements in Rotator's key processes in the value stream as a result of implementation of newly develop test equipment.
