dc.description.abstract | Grorud workshop is a railway property that is owned by BNE, and the property is in a central area of Oslo. The workshop is one of Oslo’s largest industrial workplaces and consists of properties in Nyland and Alnabru. Grorud workshop has been through various developments since 1927. Most of these developments have happened without a master plan and many of the
buildings today were built from 1940 to 1966 as a central workshop for NSB.
Based on these factors, BNE has decided to create a master plan for the Grorud workshop. This master plan will be the foundation for future developments of the properties that are located inside the workshop. The purpose of the master plan is to facilitate a comprehensive and cost-effective development of the Grorud workshop, through further concretization of previous work
The purpose of this paper is to conduct an empirical study that seeks to understand how the goals of the master plan are compared to the key theoretical subject that is considered important to understanding and finding a reasonable solution to the problem thesis. The purpose of this
paper is to study how the sustainable development of the workshops located in Grorud will affect how BNE achieves its social, economic, and environmental goals while being based on the master plan that was developed. | |
