dc.description.abstractThe research study's problem has been "in what way do students understand and experience pedagogical leadership in ordinary practice and LUB practice, respectively?". Previous research shows that students experience study as relevant to their profession, but they do not gain sufficient experience related to management and pedagogical management. And that the concept of pedagogical leadership is a complex and unclear concept that can be interpreted differently from different contexts. The qualitative researchstudy is concerned with students' experienced experiences and understandings related to the concepts of leadership and pedagogical leadership. The committee consists of seven students who have completed two different internships in the knowledge area management, collaboration and development work. The practices that are described are the ordinary practice LSU and practice implemented in the pilot project teacher education kindergartens (LUB).The empirical evidence indicates that the students have gained management experience, but the practice was still not as expected. The students experience the concept of pedagogical leadership as a complex and unclear concept. The term is linked to the management of the staff, the children's group, the kindergarten's social mandate and the framework plan's subject areas. The empirical evidence shows that the internship periods give the students different experiences related to leadership and pedagogical leadership. The findings from the research study can be a contribution to further discussion and assessment of content and design related to future practice periods in the kindergarten teacher education.en_US
