Accessibility has gained great interest, in line with the increasing attention giving to reducing CO2 emissions in the recent years. It is viewed as an important factor in urban development and growth. Bane NOR Eiendom (BNE), one of Norway’s largest real estate and hub developers, conducts accessibility analyses to map the attractiveness of different transport modes to train stations. BNE’s accessibility analysis consist of criteria for walking, cycling, public transport, and car, where an average score determine the level of accessibility for each transport mode. However, the current accessibility analysis has its challenges for BNE, in that it is subjective, difficult to verify, and based on qualitative criteria. Therefore, this thesis aims to optimize the accessibility analysis by using LEAN methodologies to shift from qualitative criteria and subjectivity to quantitative criteria and objectivity. Hence, making the analysis verifiable. To optimize the analysis it is important to determine the usage and knowledge of LEAN in BNE, due to the rising de-mand for efficiency and quality in the public sector. Therefore, both the analysis and the project execution model in which the analysis is conducted were of interest for this thesis.en_US
