Fritt valg? : En undersøkelse av lærerens bruk av eksempeltekster i norskundervisningen på mellom- og ungdomstrinnet

Abstract

This study investigates the use of sample texts in Norwegian at upper primary and lower secondary school. Sample texts are all texts that are being used in the classroom. The study is built on two different surveys, one qualitative and one quantitative. The qualitative material is based on the answers three informants gave during individual interviews; the quantitative material is based on the answers 100 informants gave in a digital survey. The questions asked in the surveys are almost identical, the qualitative survey is of course more comprehensive than the quantitative one. The surveys show a large variety of texts. Several texts are used by many, but there are also several texts that only one or a few informants use. The findings show that there are many similarities in Norwegian classrooms, also across the two surveys. Although many have a narrow view of what a sample text is, many also realize all the possibilities as you discuss the matter, this is mostly visible in the qualitative material.
