dc.description.abstractThis research is based on the topic “Culture of silence” and has its base from the kindergarten uprising "Reckless". Through the research question "Is there a culture of silence in the kindergarten sector?" we have tried to get an answer to whether kindergarten employees choose to stay silent or choose to express themselves in matters dealing with the community mandate, the law of kindergartens and the educational framework.“Culture of Silence” is not a defined term, and little research has been done on the matter. Our thesis refers to this. We also refer to research on what concerns loyalty and freedom of expression. We have been able to relate this to our own research question and empiricism.Cultural profiles are devoted attention in our thesis. To be able to research the phenomenon of culture we had to know it. Theoreticalperspective and framework made this possible for us. With a background in this our own tool is developed for collecting data.We have tested our research question through a quantitative survey. Weelaborate on how to obtain empirical, refer to theselection process, anddescribepositive and negative aspects of this method. We also demonstrate how we by using thetheoreticalFramework CVFdeveloped our own questionnaire. Drop out problems has been a part of our research work, which we will account for in the thesis.The research question is bounded to some contexts that are thought to be appropriate for the kindergarten sector. Here employees can be challenged in terms of loyalty and freedom of expression. We have wanted to get answers to when you choose tobe silent in the given situations. This is delimited by the basis of research questions such as: To what extent do you choose to be silent incontexts dealingwith community mandate,law of kindergartens and educational framework?Hypotheses around these contexts have been linked to method freedom, the staffing norm, and pressure from the owner/parents. We also asked whoone might speak to about challenging conditions. The way we see it, our findings provide interesting indicationsfor further research in the kindergarten sector. Other readers may also benefit from looking to our findings, our tool and our processes in research. After the end of the research period we ask ourselves, -where are all the voices in the kindergarten sector?en_US
