dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis is toexplore whateffect the construction state of a continuous prefabricated beam will have on the structural behaviour and design forces. This has been done by analysing Kvellaren bru located in Sandnes, when prefabricated beamsare used. The beams referencedin this thesis is based on preapproved prefabricated beams presented in the new manual V426. The beams presented are intended for simply supported beams, whereas the effect of making them continues hasbeenexamined. The analysis concludes that a continuous beam would be preferable to ensure an economicalstructure. The deformation of a continuousbeam when subjected trafficloadis foundto be 40 % less, than that of a simplysupported beam. The forces affecting the beam elements will be significantly smallerand allow for material savings. Due to the redistribution of the forces, the moments over the supports is found to be critical. Therefor the preapproved beams from the new manual can not be directly transferred to a continuous prefabricated bridge system. | nb_NO |
