dc.description.abstract | his Master's thesis isabout pre-fabricated exteriorwall elementsandwhich common constructions errors are reported related to this in the constructions process and in hand-over. This thesis has looked at which construction processes lays the foundation for construction errors, consequences of these deviations and opportunities to avoid these construction errors in the future. There is arecurring themefrom theory, developer and project managers and it is the importance of a precise and solid design phase.Several of the errors that respondents reported had its basic errors in inadequate designphase. This corresponds to theorywhichsays that nearly 50%of all construction damage is due to the design phase. Either errors in the design phase or/anddesign omissions. This isthe phase which has the largest potential for improvement to prevent construction errorsandlays the foundation for how the rest of theproduction proceeds and whether a project is performed successfully.Constructionerrors in this case-studyshows that the design phaseamounts to about 47% collectively in the 3 casesand is the phase with the mostreportederrors. The design phase is also responsible for the most reported errors intwo out of three casesalone. To avoid this, transferenceof experience, learningfrom past mistakes, good interaction at all levelsand deadlines that are observed is essential.A careful and precise design phase will reduce uncertainty, improve quality and therefore increase the collective performance in constructionprojects. This demands a good administration of these phases.A better design phase will give a resultwith fewer deviations and in that way increase the value for the entrepreneur andthe user. | nb_NO |
