dc.description.abstract	This is an artistic research study that focuses on the use of music performance technologies in an effort to extend the musical identity and the role of acoustic drumset in popular music performance. The study also discusses some perspectives from anthropology and ethnomusicology in regard to the role of music in relationship with culture and society.
