Abstract
As Industry 5.0 emerges by blending advanced technologies with human-centered approaches, the integration of machine learning (ML) in human-robot collaboration (HRC) becomes increasingly prominent. This paper explores the philosophy and ethics underlying the application of machine learning in Industry 5.0, specifically focusing on HRC. It examines the ethical considerations, philosophical implications, and potential challenges that arise in this evolving paradigm. The paper emphasises the need for a thoughtful and ethical approach to ensure the beneficial and responsible use of ML in Industry 5.0.
