Helsefremmende hjemmebesøk : «en opplevelse av trygghet»

Abstract

Background and purpose In the health-promoting work in the municipalities and in the health services, there is a purpose to improve, by developing the services and moving them closer to where the service recipients live. One intervention that can contribute to fulfill this purpose, the municipalities responsibilities and contribute to an increased experience of mastering ones life, may be systematic health-promoting and preventive home visits in the municipalities (HFHB) (Helse –og omsorgsdepartementet, 2016). My intentions with this survey was to increase awareness on how the elderly home residents experience the health-promoting home visits, through their own stories. Method A qualitative study with a descriptive and exploratory design based on individual qualitative interviews. The sample consisted of a total of 7 elderly people aged 78-88 years. 2 single women, 1 single man and two married couples. Everyone included in the study has had a health-promoting home visit within the last 2 years. The interviews were analyzed in light of Granheim and Lundemann, 2014's understanding of content analysis.
