A Study on Entrepreneurship intention has a concern on explaining the daring attitude towards starting and operating a business ventures successfully. As Entrepreneurship intention is normally manifested by the action of venture creation; It is a celebrated concept in Tanzania as it is a way to create jobs and drive away poverty since there are limited job opportunities in Government and in private sector. Many studies on entrepreneurship intention have been done in so many places such as South Africa, America, Asia, Europe and America and Asia and Europe. However there has never been much studies on entrepreneurship intention among the University students in East Africa and particularly in Tanzania, therefore this study has come about to fill this particular gap. This study on entrepreneurship intention to Tanzania University students was done by incorporating the theories of entrepreneurship and applying them to the Tanzania context and consequently prove that theories on entrepreneurship can transcends beyond economic, cultural, technological and business structure differences. In this study, it was statistically found that factors that could foster the entrepreneurship intention in Tanzania among University students are Family background influences, gender and entrepreneurial traits/orientation. That is to say if a student appear to be a male student then he might exhibit much entrepreneurship intention than female student, moreover the fact that a person has come from a family with traces of entrepreneurial background then there is a positive correlation for that particular University student to create a business venture in the future, and further more the fact that the University student has entrepreneurial traits such as self efficacy, opportunity seeking, risk taking, internal locus of control and need for achievement then that can predict that, that University student in Tanzania will create a venture in the future. It has been an interesting study as it has spoken clearly about the young Tanzanians who will be leaders soon and go into starting their own business or becoming self employed driven by desire for autonomy and expectation of economic gain. Further to that, the study shows that the students who have studied entrepreneurship courses seem to display more of entrepreneurial intention than other students; this shows the importance of Entrepreneurship studies to students as far as venture creation is concerned, this being the case, Universities in Tanzania, particularly Mzumbe university has a challenge to inculcate entrepreneurship studies to all her Faculties and not Faculty of Commerce alone so that Students may be able to tap on Tanzania natural resources for wealth creation since Tanzania though rich country in resources it is among the poor countries in the world. It is therefore, the army of informed university entrepreneurs who can solve the problem of unemployment and poverty through entrepreneurship intentions since Tanzania is a country full of opportunities for wealth creation, enterprises and future prosperity (Branson (2008)en_US
