Virtual Reality First Aid Training Kit
Abstract
This project investigates the design, development, test and evaluation of a Virtual Reality-based solution for first aid training, aiming to address the demand of the general publicfor increased knowledge and practical skills about first aid. The project follows a DSRMmethodology for gathering needs of target users, identification of requirements, design anddevelopment of a solution, and demonstrating the solution prototype to testers for the pur-pose of evaluation and proof-of-concept. The project finds that while there are physicallimitations to what can be emulated in VR, there is valuable potential for the presentedVR-based education concept as a supplement for existing first aid training solutions.
