The process of development for computer programs, is modified an updated continuously. Just in the last twenty years, both modelling-and calculation tools have developed to be able to handle and produce 3D models. Today, it is also possible to use parametric design for these work assignments. Parametric design produce algorithms to define the work tasks, that are to be done in the modelling-and calculation programs. This master thesis is therefore investigating how parametric modeling can generate a more efficient revision process, of the geometric-and static model, for design of bridge decks. To accomplish this, a study of literature, gaining experience from mechatronics engineering, and parametric designing was carried out. According to this, it has been concluded that parametric design can achieve a workflow that avoids the import and export of CAD-and FEM models to achieve interaction. This workflow provides the opportunity to generate an efficient revision process of both models, by implementing parametric design in the early phase of the project. The reason for this, is that not all of the design elements were possible to produce parametrically, with Grasshopper. At the same time as the revised content, in most cases, indicate that the models must be produced again. This outcome destroys the modeled products of reinforcement, dimensions, and Revit-sections, because they have to be produced in either Revit or FEM-Design. They depend on the products, produced with Grasshopper.
